The company values precision, innovation, and practical problem-solving in a collaborative environment.Role Description The Assembly Technician is a on-site role based in SA.
This position is responsible for assembling scientific equipment according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
Day-to-day tasks include mechanical assembly of components, using hand tools and power tools, soldering electronic parts, and performing visual and functional checks to ensure products meet specifications.
The role also involves troubleshooting minor assembly issues, maintaining a clean and safe work area,
and collaborating with engineers and production staff to meet build schedules.
The Assembly Technician is expected to follow established procedures, contribute to continuous improvement, and support consistent product quality.QualificationsAbility to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for precision assembly work.Experience with soldering and basic electronic assembly tasks in a manufacturing or technical environment.Skills in mechanical assembly, including reading and following assembly drawings, diagrams, or work instructions.Knowledge of quality control practices, including inspections, testing, and documentation of assembly work.Attention to detail, steady manual dexterity, and a focus on accuracy and safety.Previous experience in technical assembly, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on role; experience with scientific instruments is an advantage.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and meet production deadlines.Basic computer skills for recording production data and following digital work instructions; relevant vocational or technical training is beneficial.Madarin speak is an advantage.
