About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join our diverse and inclusive team at our Bricks manufacturing site in Golden Grove.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work to keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Safety First:Champion a zero-harm environment and safety-first culture, ensuring to always follow the "Never Walk Past" principle.
Maintenance & Repairs:Complete planned maintenance tasks, fault diagnosis, and breakdown repairs, as well as any modifications requested by your Supervisor.
Mechanical Fitting:Perform maintenance related to extruders, kiln rails, strappers, brick handling machinery, conveyors, bearings, and rollers.
Machine Operation:Occasionally utilize machine tools, including pedestal drills, lathes, and milling machines.
Technical Work:Apply your skills in welding and fabrication, with exposure to pneumatics and hydraulics.
Housekeeping:Maintain protected operating practices and a consistently high standard of housekeeping.
About You:




To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A background in manufacturing or the building industry.
A relevant Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate.
A strong sense of safety awareness and a record of good attendance.
