DC House is a QBCC-licensed, Master Builders Queensland member building granny flats and homes across South East Queensland from our factory and offices in Burleigh Heads.
We've completed more than 300 homes and are scaling toward $25 million in annual revenue, backed by our Fast Track Range, a line of architecturally designed homes delivered off-site within a six-week build clock.
The Role
DC House is scaling from $18 million toward a $25 million target and beyond, and we're looking for a Head of Finance to lead our financial function on a fractional basis.
You'll own reporting, cash flow, cost code integrity and compliance, working closely with the Managing Director, with genuine scope for the role, and your hours, to grow as the business does, and a pathway to CFO as we scale.
What You'll Do
● Produce accurate monthly financial reports for the Managing Director and leadership team.
● Forecast and manage cash flow across the build pipeline.
● Own and maintain the cost code structure used across estimating, procurement and job costing.
● Oversee the accuracy of bookkeeping and data entry performed by accounts support staff.




● Ensure tax, superannuation and statutory obligations are met on time.
● Report profitability job by job, so margin performance is visible at the build level, not just the business level.
● Advise the Managing Director on pricing, margin and financial risk.
● Data Entry & Reconciliations as required
What We're Looking For
● Financial Controller, senior book keeper or equivalent, ideally with experience in construction or another project-based business.
● Experience managing cash flow in a business with long project cycles.
● Comfortable working fractionally/part time to start, with the capacity and appetite to grow into a bigger role as the business scales.
● Experience with Xero (or equivalent) and job-costing systems such as Buildertrend.
● Strong communication skills, able to translate financial data for a non-financial Managing Director and leadership team.
● Genuine interest in growing into a CFO-level role as DC House scales.
