About the role
Outrite Hire and Sales is seeking aField Service/Workshop Plant Mechanic EWPto join our team in Adelaide, SA ****.
This is afull-time positionthat combines hands-on mechanical expertise with field service capabilities.
You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing elevated work platform (EWP) equipment and other plant machinery, both in our workshop and on-site at customer locations.
This role is strategically important to our operations, ensuring our fleet remains in optimal working condition and our customers receive reliable, safe equipment for their projects.
Key responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on elevated work platforms and associated plant equipment
Conduct mechanical diagnostics to identify faults and implement corrective solutions
Execute repairs in both workshop and field environments, responding to customer service calls as required
Complete safety inspections and certifications in accordance with Australian standards and regulations
Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed
Ensure all equipment meets operational and safety requirements before being returned to customers
Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding equipment operation and maintenance
Collaborate with team members to meet service schedules and delivery timelines
Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or improvements
What we're looking for
Trade qualification or equivalent experience as a mechanic or diesel/plant technician
Proven experience servicing and repairing elevated work platforms (EWP) or similar plant machinery
Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations applicable to plant equipment in Australia
Ability to diagnose faults efficiently and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues




Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy components and work in varied environments
Preferred: Experience with mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), boom lifts, scissor lifts, or other access equipment
Preferred: Current or ability to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., High Risk Work Licence)
