About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and hands-onLeading Hand / Team Leaderto help guide daily operations of our Mesh Manufacturing facility, reporting to the Business Unit Manager onsite.
This is a mix of floor-based leadership and time in the office planning the week - you'll spend time working the mesh line alongside the team while taking the lead on day-to-day coordination, scheduling accuracy and keeping operational performance on track.
With a small team of 5, this is a great opportunity for a manufacturing professional who wants to stay close to the tools while stepping up to guide and support the crew around them.

What You'll Do:
Help keep the site running smoothly day-to-day, hitting our targets for safety, quality, delivery and productivity (with support from the BU Manager)
Track and report on KPIs and performance goals
Keep the team in the loop on production priorities, updates and what's expected of them
Spot opportunities to cut waste and work smarter as part of our continuous improvement drive
Help ensure we're always meeting quality, safety and environmental standards
Support our push for lean manufacturing and manufacturing excellence
Get behind our Health, Safety and Environment policies and initiatives
Support planning and scheduling to keep operations flowing
Help make sure we've got the right people, materials and equipment in the right place at the right time
Guide and support your team — from on-the-job training through to day-to-day feedback
What You'll bring:
To be successful in this role, you will have:




Experience in a similar role + Certificate IV qualification / Minimum Year 10 Pass in English and Mathematics
Current forklift licence is ideal
Demonstrated leading hand or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong understanding of operating up-to-date high-speed machinery, manufacturing processes and operational KPIs
Proven ability to guide a team and support performance improvements
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems
Understanding of Workplace OH&S; in a warehouse/factory/manufacturing environment
Desirable:
Diploma or degree Engineering
First Aid Certificate
