Part-Time Boat Ramp Survey Interviewer
Location:Cairns, QLD
We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeableBoat Ramp Survey Interviewerto assist with research and monitoring of recreational fishing in the Cairns region.
Your role will be to engage with fishermen and the general public at local boat ramps, record catch details, and accurately identify fish species.
About the role:
Conduct interviews with fishermen at public boat ramps in Cairns
Record data on fish species caught as part of ongoing research and monitoring
Work 3 weekend shifts (Sat or Sunday) and 3 Fridays per month: approx 6 shifts per month
What we're looking for:
Genuine interest in fishing and marine life
Robust knowledge of local fish species and confident identification skills
Excellent communication skills and confidence in approaching members of the public
Reliability and attention to detail
MUST be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply for this role.
(Working Holiday Visas will not be considered as this role will be ongoing and may lead to permanency).
