The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the Lonsdale concrete plant, ensuring high levels of customer service, product quality, safety and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs utilising the Dorner Batch program and Dispatch system.
Managing day to day administration of the Concrete Batch Plant including stock control of raw materials.
Batching of the correct concrete mix.
Coordinate Fatigue Management in line with NHVR laws and maintain diligence in COR for day to day operations.
Maintain a healthy working environment and ensure adherence to company's policies, particularly to WHS protocols.
Liaising with third party service providers, ensuring contractor inductions and safety protocols are adhered to.
Recording/compiling data and information for concrete production and the maintenance of plant/equipment.
Deliver regular toolbox meetings and safety alerts to employee/contractors, driving a strong safety culture in the workplace.
Liaising with the Operations Manager/Dispatch Team to achieve optimum service and efficiencies.
General yard housekeeping, fleet cleanliness and plant maintenance.
Inducting and mentoring, new and inexperienced workers, escalating safety and performance issues as they arise.
About You
Relevant batching experience.
Previous leadership experience.
Current HR Driver's license (Desirable).
Current front-end loader's license.
Current Forklift license.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with sound computer skills.
Flexibility to work across a Monday to Saturday daily roster.
The ability to self-motivate and work both unsupervised and within a team setting.
A professional manner in dealing with customers, co-workers and management.

Operating from four plants located at Salisbury, Gawler, Lonsdale and Callington, we employ over 70 people and operate a fleet of more than 40 agitator trucks.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Supervisor / Batcher to join our Lonsdale team.
