Across our community offices and custodial facilities, our team gives young people involved in the justice system the consistent support they need, working with care teams, families and communities to help rebuild their lives.
Using evidence-informed practice as part of the team at our newly-upgraded Malmsbury facility, you will guide young people throughlife-changing shifts in mindset, behaviour and self-belief and empower them to make positive choices, learn new skills to reduce harmful behaviours and stay on track.
It's complex and challenging work.
But it'swork that makes a real differenceboth to young people's futures and to our state's safety.
You will:
Work within a forensic framework with young people who engage in responsible offending behaviour and may present as a moderate to high risk of reoffending.
Use your skills and judgement to deliver therapeutic interventions for young people with complex needs andbuild respectful, supportive relationships.
Contribute to a strong team culture where peer support and collaboration with other stakeholders are central to success.
Take part inregular training and development, with one day each month dedicated to your learning.
