About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be maintaining and improving SunEnergy's existing AI systems and automation environment.
Working directly with the founder, you'll help ensure our AI agents, dashboards, automations and internal applications remain reliable, accurate and continually improving.
As you develop a deeper understanding of the business, you'll also contribute to new AI automations, internal web applications and business improvement projects across multiple departments.
You'll have the opportunity to work with modern AI development tools and help shape how AI continues to improve the way our business operates.
What You'll Be Doing
Maintain and improve our existing AI agent systems.
Monitor AI workflows, dashboards and business automations.
Test new features and identify issues before they affect users.
Investigate bugs, incorrect outputs and workflow failures.
Improve AI prompts, workflows and business logic.
Maintain documentation for AI agents, workflows and business processes.
Build enhancements using modern AI development tools.
Assist with the development of internal web applications and automation tools.
Support staff in getting the best value from our AI systems.




Work closely with the founder to continually improve our AI environment.
About You
You're naturally curious and genuinely enjoy building things.
You don't simply use AI, you experiment with it, build with it and look for better ways to solve problems.
You may have built an AI agent, automated a workflow, created a dashboard, developed an internal tool or connected systems together using APIs and automation platforms.
You don't need years of commercial experience, but you do need to demonstrate that you've already built something practical.
We're far more interested in your ability to think, build and learn than the number of years on your résumé.
Skills & Experience
Experience with some of the following will be highly regarded:
AI agents or AI-powered workflows.
Python or JavaScript.
APIs and system integrations.
Automation platforms such as n8n, Make or Zapier.
AI development tools such as Codex, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or similar.
Git and version control.
Basic database knowledge.
Dashboard or reporting tools.
Software testing and troubleshooting.
Technical documentation.
You don't need experience in every technology listed above.
However, applicantsmust be able to demonstrate at least one AI, automation or software projectthey have personally built or made a significant contribution to.
During the interview, we'll ask you to walk us through your project, explain the problem it solved, the tools you used, how it worked, what challenges you encountered and what you would improve if you built it again.

Location
This is an office-based role located in Adelaide.
For the first six months, you'll work alongside the founder and the wider team from our office.
This is an important part of the role, giving you the opportunity to learn how the business operates, understand our systems in depth and work closely with the people who use them every day.
Salary & Career Progression
$60,000–$70,000 plus superannuation, depending on your demonstrated capability and project experience.
Your employment package includes:
Three-month probation period.
Formal six-month performance review.
20% salary increase following a successful six-month performance review.
Formal twelve-month performance review.
Potential chance to participate in future AI ventures through equity or similar long-term incentives, subject to contribution and business requirements.
