As their organisation continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership and to help shape the next stage of our journey.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Pearson's Services while supporting the organisation's continued growth, quality improvement and long-term sustainability.
This is a broad executive leadership role requiring a confident, experienced leader who understands the rapidly changing NDIS environment and can successfully balance participant outcomes, operational performance, financial sustainability and staff development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the gradual transition of operational responsibilities from the Managing Director,
ensuring the organisation continues to thrive while maintaining its strong family values and participant-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager will be responsible for:
Leading the day-to-day operations across all service areas.
Ensuring services consistently meet the requirements of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguards Commission.
Driving a culture of person-centred, high-quality service delivery.
Providing leadership, mentoring and support to managers and emerging leaders.
Overseeing workforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff performance.
Monitoring financial performance, budgets and operational efficiency.
Managing organisational risk, governance and compliance.
Leading continuous improvement initiatives and preparing the organisation for audits.
Responding strategically to NDIS reforms and implementing operational changes.
Building strong relationships with participants, families, staff and external stakeholders.
Working closely with the Managing Director to deliver the organisation's strategic vision and future growth.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Extensive senior leadership experience within the disability or NDIS sector.
Comprehensive knowledge of NDIS funding, pricing arrangements, legislation and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience managing complex service delivery operations across multiple programs.
Strong financial management and commercial acumen.
Experience leading organisational growth, change management and continuous improvement.
Exceptional people leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and inspire teams.
Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement in complex situations.
A practical, cooperative and values-driven leadership style.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Business, Health or Management will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current Working with Children Check.
Current Driver's Licence.
Eligibility to work in Australia.
