Assistant Guest Services Manager
Perth's Outback Splash is seeking a confident, hands-on leader to join our Team as Assistant Guest Services Manager.
This is a full-time role for someone who enjoys leading from the front, supporting a busy operational Team and creating positive experiences for Guests.
You will work closely with the Guest Experience and Merchandising Manager to support the daily operation of Guest Services, including admissions, Team supervision, training, merchandise, group bookings and Guest enquiries.
This is not a desk-only management role.
You will be visible across the park, supporting the Team, solving problems and stepping into front-line operational duties.
About the role
The Assistant Guest Services Manager plays an important role in ensuring daily operations are safe, organised and welcoming.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising Guest Services Supervisors and casual Team members
Supporting daily rosters and adjusting Team as required
Coaching, training and developing Team members
Completing opening, closing and daily operational procedures
Responding to Guest enquiries, feedback and complaints
Coordinating group bookings and functions
Supporting admissions, point-of-sale and in-park booking systems
Assisting with merchandise ordering, stock control and presentation
Monitoring sales performance and working towards operational targets
Supporting first aid (training provided), incidents and emergency response procedures
Working closely with other operational departments across the park
During the park's winter closure, the role may also provide occasional support with light presentation, upkeep and general park duties as required.
The role requires someone who can balance Team leadership, Guest service, administration and practical operational support.
About you




You may currently be working as a supervisor, Team leader, duty manager or assistant manager within tourism, hospitality, leisure, retail, events or another busy Guest-facing environment.
You will ideally bring:
Previous supervisory or leadership experience
Strong Guest service and communication skills
The confidence to provide clear direction and hold standards
Experience training, coaching or supporting Team members
Good organisation and time management skills
The ability to remain calm and make decisions in a busy workplace
Confidence handling Guest concerns and finding practical solutions
The ability to work outdoors and remain active throughout the day
Experience with merchandise, group bookings, stock management, first aid or attraction operations would be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you will be someone who leads by example, supports the Team and genuinely enjoys helping Guests have a great day.
