As our Queensland operations continue to expand, we're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our growing presence throughout Northern Queensland.
Working from our Townsville office, you'll build on an established foundation of clients and projects while driving the continued growth of our Telecommunications and Critical Infrastructure business across the region.
The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role offering genuine autonomy, backed by the support of our Western Australian Head Office.
Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, you'll be responsible for the operational, commercial and strategic performance of the Queensland Division while ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with DCE Electricals systems, processes and industry-leading safety standards.
You'll work closely with Australia's major telecommunications providers, infrastructure owners and delivery partners, managing projects within live operational environments where attention to detail, planning and stakeholder management are essential.

About the Role
You'll be responsible for:
Leading DCE Electricals Queensland Telecommunications and Critical Infrastructure operations.
Building strong relationships with telecommunications carriers, infrastructure owners, principal contractors and key stakeholders.
Identifying and securing new project opportunities throughout Northern Queensland.
Preparing estimates, quotations and tender submissions for telecommunications and electrical infrastructure projects.




Managing projects from award through to commissioning and handover.
Coordinating employees, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
Managing commercial performance, project budgets and profitability.
Ensuring all projects comply with DCE Electricals Safety Management System, client requirements and industry standards.
Providing operational and financial reporting to the Group General Manager.
Supporting the continued growth of DCE Electricals Queensland operations.
About You
We're looking for a motivated leader with strong operational and commercial experience who understands the unique challenges of delivering projects within live critical infrastructure environments.
Essential
Extensive experience within the electrical industry.
Previous Operations Management, Senior Project Management or Project Management experience.
Solid estimating and commercial management skills.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
Ability to work autonomously and make informed commercial decisions.
Current Driver's License.
Willingness to travel throughout Northern Queensland.
Highly Desirable
Experience delivering projects within theTelecommunications industry.
Strong understanding ofTelecommunication Exchangesand carrier infrastructure.
Experience working withinCritical Infrastructureenvironments.
Experience delivering works forTelstra, NBN, Optus, TPG, Vocusor other carrier networks.
Experience withmission-critical electrical systems, UPS, standby power, switchboards and communications infrastructure.
Experience working withinlive operational facilitieswhere outages,



stakeholder coordination and risk management are critical.
Experience withinData Centres, Defence, Utilities or Essential Services.
Travel
This position services projects across Northern Queensland and regional Queensland.
