Motor Mechanic (General)
At D'ASCANIO MOTOR REPAIRS, we are looking for a full time (at least 38 hours per week) skilled Motor Mechanic (General) to perform the following duties:
Responsibilities
· Utilize diagnostic software and electronic scanning tools to identify malfunctions within vehicle systems and verify component performance.
· Carry out routine vehicle servicing, including fluid replacements, system lubrication, and calibration adjustments to maintain efficiency and meet emissions standards.
· Conduct performance evaluations by running engines and mechanical systems post-repair to confirm reliability and proper operation.
· Consult technical documentation and manufacturer guidelines while restoring or substituting damaged components within mechanical assemblies.
· Disassemble major vehicle units such as powertrains, gearboxes, and steering systems to inspect internal elements for wear or damage.




· Reconstruct and reinstall engine systems and related parts following completion of repairs or part replacements.
· Troubleshoot both electrical circuits and mechanical assemblies to determine the root causes of operational failures.
Requirements
· Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
· At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.
· Qualified approach.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Organisational and time management skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Confident manner.
· Positive approach to change.
