Gold Coast Youth Service (GCYS) is a leading non-profit youth support and specialist youth homelessness organisation.

The role
This is a newly created, pivotal role for a proven governance leader to lead governance risk and workplace health and safety.
Working three days a week in our Miami Beach office, you will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for:
1. Governance, Compliance and Risk (GCR)
2. Workplace Health and Safety
3. Emergency Preparedness
This is a practical leadership role with a explicit mandate to ensure that the Gold Coast Youth Service maintains compliance with legislative and accreditation standards,



effectively manages risks, and supports/upholds the implementation of governance best practices.
Importantly, you will also collaborate with the Senior Leadership team to strengthen compliance and risk processes, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
About you
You will be a governance professional, with five + years experience in implementing and communicating governance, risk and WH&S.;
You will bring strong verbal and written communication skills, trustworthy, sound judgement and the ability to work with and influence teams.
You will hold qualifications in governance or risk or a related discipline with a solid understanding of contemporary governance and risk frameworks.
