Job Description
AGROVISE Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Agricultural and Agritech Technician to join our team.
The successful applicant will support the installation, commissioning, operation, testing, maintenance and optimisation of agricultural technology systems and equipment, while assisting with irrigation management, precision agriculture, crop production technologies, field trials, technical data collection and the delivery of innovative agritech solutions across a range of agricultural projects in Western Australia.

Task & responsibilities Examine topographical, physical and soil characteristics of farmland to assist in determining optimal land use and identifying nutrient deficiencies.
Assist Agricultural Research Scientists and Agronomists in developing improved methods of planting, fertilising, irrigation, harvesting and crop management to maximise productivity.
Identify plant diseases, pests, fungi and weeds affecting agricultural production and assist in implementing appropriate control measures.
Provide technical advice, training and support to clients on agricultural technology solutions, including sensors, remote monitoring systems, farm management software and automation technologies.
Install, configure, program, test, commission, repair and maintain advanced agricultural technology and equipment, including irrigation controllers, pumping systems, sensors, telemetry,



automation and precision agriculture systems.
Develop, operate and maintain integrated agricultural technology systems used in irrigation, water management and farm production, including analysing operational data and preparing technical reports.
Conduct field testing, equipment inspections, fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance to ensure efficient operation of agricultural infrastructure and agritech equipment.
Collect, record and analyse technical and operational data to evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
Prepare technical documentation, maintenance records, installation reports and service schedules.
Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and clients to deliver innovative agricultural infrastructure and technology solutions while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Qualification & experience Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
At least one year of relevant industry experience (more experienced applicants are encouraged to apply).
Experience working with irrigation systems, pumps, agricultural equipment or automated control systems.
