Global Grand Investment Pty Ltd operates Quality Hotel Mildura Grand is one of regional Victoria's premier hospitality destinations.
Located in the heart of Mildura, the hotel features 99 guest rooms, multiple restaurants and bars, conference and wedding facilities, extensive function spaces and a strong reputation for exceptional customer service.
As part of our continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Corporate General Manager to lead all aspects of the hotel's operations and strategic direction.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, the Corporate General Manager will have full responsibility for the strategic leadership, financial performance and operational management of the hotel.
This executive leadership position requires a highly experienced hospitality professional capable of overseeing a complex operation while driving profitability, business growth, staff performance and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the hotel's strategic business plans, budgets and long-term growth initiatives.Direct and oversee all hotel operations including accommodation, food and beverage, conferences, events, housekeeping, maintenance, finance, sales and administration.Lead executive management and departmental managers to achieve operational excellence and business objectives.Develop financial strategies to maximise profitability through budgeting, forecasting, cost control and revenue management.Analyse financial performance, prepare management reports and implement business improvement initiatives.Develop and execute marketing, sales and revenue strategies to increase occupancy, conference bookings and food and beverage revenue.Build and maintain relationships with tourism organisations, government agencies, corporate clients and local stakeholders.Ensure compliance with all legislative, licensing, workplace health and safety, employment and regulatory requirements.Develop organisational policies, operational procedures and quality assurance systems.Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, succession planning and staff development.Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer service, accountability and continuous improvement.Identify opportunities for expansion, operational efficiencies and new revenue streams.Represent the business in negotiations with suppliers, contractors, industry bodies and business partners.
Essential Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Minimum five years' senior management experience within a large hotel, resort or hospitality operation.Proven experience managing hotels with extensive accommodation, restaurant, conference and event operations.Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated responsibility for multi-million-dollar budgets and financial performance.Extensive experience in strategic planning,
business development and organisational leadership.Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Strong knowledge of Australian workplace legislation, WHS requirements, liquor licensing and hospitality regulations.Exceptional leadership, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline; orEquivalent combination of formal qualifications and extensive senior management experience.
