Mellow Johnny's is opening a brand‐new licensed Pizzeria, Café and Dessert Bar in Bunyip and we're looking for an experienced Pizza Chef to join us from the very beginning (opening expected late Sept / early Oct).

With a state‐of‐the‐art electric oven offering stable temperatures, fast recovery times and exceptional bake control, you'll have the tools to produce outstanding pizzas every shift.
What You'll Do
- Control all aspects of dough preparation.
- Utilise a high‐performance electric pizza oven.
- Stretch, top and cook pizzas from start to finish.
- Set up and maintain a clean, organised and effective kitchen.
- Deliver high‐quality food during busy service periods.
- Assist with prep, stock rotation, ingredient management and kitchen organisation.
- Uphold strict food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Contribute ideas for specials, menu development and continuous improvement.
- Help build a positive, supportive kitchen culture in a brand‐new venue.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience working in an Italian restaurant or pizza section preferred




- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-based kitchen environment
- Strong attention to quality, consistency, and presentation

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a pizza or high‐volume commercial kitchen.
- Strong dough‐handling skills and confidence operating commercial electric pizza ovens.
- Ability to work cleanly, efficiently and calmly under pressure.
- Good communication skills and a team‐focused attitude.
- Reliability, professionalism and pride in presentation and consistency.
- Willingness to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays.
- Passion for great food, quality ingredients and exceptional customer experiences.
