MECHANICAL TRADES ASSISTANT
Akaliko Global is seeking the services of an experienced Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our facility in Bassendean WA.
Akaliko has a global supply chain in the manufacture and repair of Hydraulic Cylinder Components for the mining industry and is a global leader in the supply and service of aftermarket components.
This is a excellent opportunity for someone looking to get into the industry, all relevant training will be provided.
The role will be on a casual – fulltime basis with the view to go permanent after initial trial period.
Key duties:
· Forklift driving
· Receivals/dispatch
· Assisting tradespersons with workshop duties
· Polishing, cleaning, fitting components
· Painting and packaging of components




· Delivery and pick up of parts/components - Driver's licence required
· Workshop cleaning
The following will be highly regarded but not essential:
· Forklift ticket
· Small truck licence (LR class)
· First aid certificate
· Welding experience
· Fitting – strip and assembly of components
