We're looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focusedMaintenance & Defects Coordinatorto join our growing team.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
You'll play a critical part in ensuring our completed projects continue to meet the high standards Centina is known for, while delivering an outstanding experience for our clients.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing maintenance activities and defect repairs across Centina's residential and commercial projects.
Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients and property managers, you'll manage the entire process - from inspection (as required) through to scheduling, completion and reporting - ensuring every issue is resolved safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Manage defects and maintenance items in the Procore system.
Prioritise items weekly, coordinate maintenance workforce (internal and external) and schedule works.
Conduct inspections, as required, to verify reported defects and maintenance issues.
Utilise third party building inspectors & Centina management to support diagnosis and determine rectification methodologies for high-risk items.
Coordinate access with building owners, landlords, property managers and the like to ensure efficient access for contractors as needed to complete maintenance and defects rectification works.
Liaise with and manage subcontractors and external tradespeople to schedule and oversee repairs.
Coordinate scoping of materials and equipment,
as necessary, required to complete maintenance & defects works.
Provide management with forecast cost for approval.
Procure materials and equipment to support efficient execution of the works.
Coordinate preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment warranties are maintained through the DLP period.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and defect activities.
Identify and report high risk maintenance issues and safety risks to management.
Contribute to a positive client experience through timely and high-quality defect rectification.
Complete monthly maintenance & defects status reports to support business reporting cycle.
Analyse data, trends and provide improvement recommendations to business.
Ensure compliance with Centina's minimum standards, safety regulations, and relevant legislation.

Experience in construction, property maintenance or building services.

The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
Experience using construction management software (Procore experience highly regarded).
Australian working rights.
