Compassionate Person to help Support a 34yr old Male with High needs living in His Family Home
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicatedSupport Workerto join our team at our Mitchell Park, SA location.
This is acasual position.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct support and assistance to the individual.
You will be instrumental in helping the individual maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life whilst promoting their social inclusion and wellbeing within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Providing personal care and support, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming.
Administering Medication, bowel care.
Supporting the Individual with All transfers using safe and appropriate manual handling techniques
Assisting with meal preparation, and some prompting with eating and drinking.
Providing companionship and emotional support, promoting social engagement and community participation
Maintaining a safe and clean environment and Light Housework.
Accompanying Individual to appointments, social activities and community events.
Communicating effectively with the Individual and Support Team and Family.
Respectful of Family Routines and Dynamics.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills,



with the ability to build positive relationships and interact respectfully.
Patience, empathy and a non-judgmental approach to service delivery.
Physical fitness and capability to assist with manual tasks including transfers
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly to accommodate casual shifts
Basic literacy and numeracy skills to accurately record observations and follow written instruction
Ability to work Independently and as part of a Team.
Being Able and Willing to Take Directions.
Maintaining Skilled Boundaries and Safe Guarding Practices.
To Apply You Will Need The Following:
Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
Valid Driver's Licence.
100 Points of ID.
Set Shifts per Fortnight.
Both daytime, evening and overnights.
Must be willing to do Fill in Shifts when they become available.
