Industrial Batteries Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced, commercially driven and hands-onSales and Operations Managerto join our established national team and lead our South Australian branch.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a small but strategically significant branch within our national operations.
The role combines sales leadership, customer relationship management, business development and day-to-day operational oversight and involvement.
Our South Australian branch, established in ****, has grown significantly since its inception and now plays an important role in supporting local customers as well as nationally managed clients and partners.
The branch currently includes an established battery builder and service technician, making this a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is comfortable being close to customers, staff, operations and outcomes.
You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing branch operations, strengthening customer relationships and supporting the continued national expansion of one of Australia's leading industrial battery and charging solutions providers for the materials handling and eGSE industries.

About the Role
AsSales and Operations Manager,



you will be responsible for leading the South Australian branch across both sales and operational functions.
This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with customers, identify current business opportunities, manage sales enquiries, support branch staff, direct and assist operations and ensure the branch continues to deliver a high level of service and technical support.
You will work closely with the national team while taking ownership of local branch performance.
The role requires a practical, commercially focused professional who can balance sales growth with the day-to-day needs of a small but quickly growing operation, and isnt afraid to get their hands dirty where required.
This position is ideal for someone with strong relationship-building skills, proven sales experience, operational awareness and a background in industrial, manufacturing, materials handling, equipment or related markets.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business
Identifying and securing new customers across local and national markets
Managing retail, OEM and tender-related sales enquiries
Taking hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the South Australian branch
Supporting and coordinating branch staff, including battery building and service activities
Working closely with the national operations, service, sales and marketing teams
Assisting with job coordination, customer requirements, product availability and service outcomes
Supporting promotional campaigns and local sales initiatives
Providing regular sales reports,



market insights and performance updates to senior management
Monitoring industry trends, customer needs, competitor activity and product developments
Ensuring the branch operates efficiently, professionally and in line with national business standards
Supporting the continued growth of IBA's national sales and service presence
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
The ability to lead from the front in a hands-on branch management role
A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Strong customer relationship management, negotiation and account management skills
A practical understanding of branch operations, service coordination or technical product support
The ability to work effectively within a motivated and growing national team
A sound understanding of sales strategy, market analysis and business development
Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities across sales, customers, staff and operations
Experience managing OEM, retail or tender opportunities will be highly regarded
