Intract Australia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Defence Projects to join our Building & Construction team.
This role is ideal for a confident and grounded construction leader who knows how to bring teams together, manage complex project environments and deliver safely, professionally and to a high standard.
You will lead construction delivery across Defence projects from mobilisation through to commissioning, handover and defects close-out.

What You'll Do
Lead construction delivery from mobilisation through to handover
Manage site teams, subcontractors, programme and construction methodology
Drive safety, quality, compliance and project performance
Coordinate sequencing, resources, logistics and site operations
Support tendering, constructability reviews and delivery planning
Build strong relationships with Defence stakeholders, consultants and subcontractors
Mentor Site Managers, Engineers and Supervisors
What You'll Bring
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building or Engineering,



or extensive senior site leadership experience
10+ years' construction management experience on major building or infrastructure projects
Defence or government project experience highly regarded
Experience delivering projects valued $20M+
Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills
Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance
