About the role
Reporting to the Meat Department leadership team, the Meat Packer plays an important role in supporting production, presentation, and availability within the department.
As a Meat Packer, you'll support the day-to-day operations of our busy Meat Department by preparing, packaging and presenting fresh meat products to the highest standards.
You'll work closely with our butchers and retail team to ensure products are available, well presented and ready for sale, while maintaining a clean, protected and organised work environment.
This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to food safety and quality.

This role is classified as aCasual Level 1 Award positionand is focused on packing, preparation support, and maintaining department standards.
Key responsibilities
Pack, label, and prepare meat products for sale in accordance with company standards
Assist with product presentation, rotation, and stock handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
Follow food safety, hygiene, and work health safety procedures at all times
Support the meat team with general department duties as required
Work collaboratively to ensure a positive customer experience
Use equipment safely and report any issues promptly
About you
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Good attention to detail and presentation
Ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in food handling or retail is beneficial but not essential
