The Practice
The purpose of this busy practice is to provide comprehensive primary health care services to the Aboriginal populations and others in and around the Halls Creek area.
The service provides primary health care clinical services and population health programs in Halls Creek and at the outlying Ringer's Soak community.
The strategic and operational role is a crucial part of ensuring compliance with the practice's clinical operations, providing medical expertise, and leading in the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
Broad, high-impact clinical exposure to chronic disease, paediatric, mental health and acute care, delivering medicine that is more complex, hands-on and professionally fulfilling than metro general practice.
Working closely with Aboriginal communities and deliver culturally safe care while experiencing the Kimberley lifestyle, Bungle Bungles, Wolfe Creek, and the stunning outback.
The Requirements
Overseeing comprehensive primary health care service delivery and leading a multidisciplinary team
Developing and implementing systems for the clinical care delivery and workforce management
Providing medical advice and establishing linkages with other health providers for optimum care coordination
Leading clinical quality, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
Managing and supporting the professional development of general practitioners and clinical staff
Enhancing service access and income through Medicare billings and referral pathways optimisation
Maintaining professional development and compliance with vocational registration
Promoting a culture that respects and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' health and wellbeing
Visit a remote clinic every fortnight
Ahpra registration
Current medical indemnity insurance
Current "C" class driver's license
Able to acquire credentialing through the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Service Council
