About the business and the role
Custom Quip Engineering Pty Ltd (CQE) is a well-established Western Australian founded business with over two decades of experience specialising in the design and manufacture of quality transport equipment.
CQE is seeking a motivated team player to join the team asAccounts Administratorat our centrally located, purpose-built facility in Kenwick, reporting to the General Manager.
The Accounts Administrators role is to focus on compliance, reporting accuracy and financial efficiency.
The position oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and insurance functions while maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
In addition, the role provides financial and operational support to the administration team as required, contributing to the efficient day-to-day operation of the business.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
Assist in the preparation and administration of ATO and statutory compliance requirements, including BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG, Superannuation Guarantee Contributions (SGC), and Payroll Tax, working closely with and supported by the Head Office Payroll and Finance teams.
Prepare, review, and submit financial reports (monthly, annual) while maintaining accurate general and subsidiary ledgers.
Performing monthly reconciliations and monitoring creditor accounts.
Monitor overdue accounts, escalating payment delays and implementing collection strategies to minimize bad debts.
Conduct month-end account reconciliations and review outstanding balances to support accurate financial reporting.
Process weekly wage runs,



ensuring accurate employee payments in line with industry awards and employment contracts.
Support the administration of superannuation contributions, payroll tax compliance, and timely statutory reporting, working closely with the Head Office Payroll and Finance teams.
Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain employee payroll records to ensure accuracy.
Support and maintain compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements to safeguard company assets and promote financial stability.
Support the administration team with financial and operational tasks as required.
Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:
· Minimum 3 + years' experience within a similar role (ideally within an aligning trade/industry sector)
· Business or Accounting related qualification highly regarded
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a team player, self-starter with a versatile attitude
· A willingness to learn, upskill and commitment to supported training and development
· A 'numbers' focused aptitude with excellent attention to detail and the ability to 'think outside the box'
· Computer literate, skilled in utilizing multiple software platforms
· Preferred experience with using Epicor ERP (or similar), Employment Hero and Microsoft Suite.
· An excellent customer centric and solutions focused attitude
· Trustworthy, with integrity and commitment to confidentiality
