Job Description
Efficient Recruitment Pty Ltd BS Dhiman Construction are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our construction team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and applying paint finishes to interior and exterior surfaces on residential building projects.
This is a hands-on role requiring solid attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently to project timelines, and a commitment to producing high-quality, durable finishes that meet both company and client expectations.

Task & responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly, including cleaning, sanding, filling, patching, and priming to ensure a smooth and durable finish.
Apply paint, stains, and related coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment as required.
Interpret plans, specifications, and colour schedules accurately to deliver consistent results across projects.
Protect surrounding areas, fixtures, and finishes during painting works and maintain a clean, organised worksite.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures,



including the correct use of PPE and safe handling of materials and equipment.
Work collaboratively with site supervisors, other trades, and team members to meet project schedules.
Carry out quality checks on completed work and rectify any defects as directed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition and report any issues promptly.
Assist with general site duties related to painting works as required.
Qualification & experience Proven experience as a painter on residential or commercial construction projects.
Sound knowledge of surface preparation techniques and modern painting systems and products.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a construction environment.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality finishes.
Current White Card (Construction Induction) is essential.
Valid driver's licence and reliable transport preferred.
Ability to work at heights and on ladders/scaffolds safely.
Relevant trade qualification or formal training in painting and decorating is highly regarded.
