Day shift - $***** per hour (casual rate)
Afternoon shift - $***** per hour (casual rate)

Are you an experienced Extrusion Operators looking to join a growing manufacturing business?
We are seeking skilled and reliable operators to run our Clients high-speed blown film extrusion lines, producing quality polyethylene films to exact customer specifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge of blown film production who takes pride in quality, efficiency, and safety.
About the Role
As a Blown Film Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for the complete extrusion process, from material preparation and resin blending through to bubble management, automated gauge control, quality testing, and winding operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring products consistently meet strict quality, gauge, width, and strength specifications while maintaining safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate blown film extrusion lines, including dies, air rings, and tower equipment.
Monitor and optimise processing parameters such as temperatures, melt pressures, and line speeds.
Establish and maintain stable bubbles, adjusting blow-up ratios (BUR) and frost line heights as required.
Operate and calibrate Automated Gauge Control (AGC) systems,



thickness scanners, and automatic air rings.
Operate surface and turret winders, ensuring correct tension, alignment, and roll quality.
Perform quality inspections including thickness testing, gauge profiling, tensile checks, and visual assessments.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Minimum 2 years' experience operating multi-layer extrusion equipment.
Strong understanding of polyethylene resins and blown film processing principles.
Experience with AGC systems, gravimetric blending equipment, and automated winding systems.
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work safely at heights and lift up to 20kg.
Desirable
Forklift License (LF).
Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Exposure to multi-layer extrusion technologies and advanced process controls.
