Are you a skilled nurse withexperience in oncologyand apassion for learning?
We have a new opportunity for a Clinical Nurse to join our team at our Icon Cancer Centre in Tennyson.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, to provide high quality nursing support for our oncology patients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional cancer care to our patients and their families
Deliver an unparalleled patient experience
Manage and coordinate the administration of chemotherapy and supportive care treatments in a busy day hospital environment
Support and encourage the development of less experienced nursing staff
Provide leadership and support to the nursing team
Promote clinical excellence with an emphasis on safe and high-quality nursing practice
Support implementation of new systems, therapies and clinical trials.
Actively motivate others and maintain an environment of continuous quality improvement.
About you
We are looking for an experienced
Oncology
Clinical Nurse, looking for a fresh challenge and to enhance their existing skills in a very supportive and friendly environment.

Qualifications
Current nursing registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
Post-graduate or willing to work towards oncology nursing qualification.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years post-graduation nursing experience
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Oncology Nursing
Member of relevant professional bodies (e.g. CNSA, COSA)
Chemotherapy competent with advanced level clinical knowledge and skills in managing haematology and oncology patients
Excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills

29 chair day oncology hospital, offering chemotherapy, targeted therapies and immunotherapy (including intravesical therapies)
Scalp cooling system – Cooling cap available to help reduce hair loss during chemotherapy treatment
Radiation Therapy treatments using our state-of-the-art linear accelerator and superficial skin Xray machine
Treatment for malignant and non-malignant blood disorders, including administration of supportive therapies and blood products such as hormone treatments, bisphosphonates and iron infusions
Minor procedures for diagnostic and prognostic purposes
Access to clinical trials
