We are seeking an experienced head chef who has at least 5 years experience in working in a commercial kitchen able to prepare European inspired using outdoor oven and commercial kitchen.
Experience in fusion cooking is essential as you will be required to be creative by enhancing traditional European flavours with local indigenous ingredients to creative a unique culinary experience for our guests.
Initially we will be catering for up to 12 in house guests during the week and busy lunches service for up to 40 people including weekends (we can work with you to schedule time off on quieter days likely to be Monday/Tuesdays where you will get the prospect to boat, sail and fish).
This is a lifestyle position for someone who is looking for a different work environment living on a remote island.
You will be paid according to a standard 38 hour week and any extra time worked can be taken as time in lieu.




We have a house on the mainland if you decide you want a break from the Island to experience outback Australia.
As this is "Island Life", we work as a team and we all do things to chip in and help when time allows.
If things are a little quiet in the low season then you will also be requested to work on maintenance duties on the island.
The position requires you to primarily prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
We need someone with a friendly disposition who is calm under pressure and reliable.
No job is beneath you.
We are a small team which means that you will be preparing, cooking and at times washing dishes if service staff are busy.
You must be able to work well independently and with a small team of onsite staff.
Position would ideally suit couples as we can offer front of house and housekeeping duties for your partner.
