As an authorised sales agent for Volvo Construction Equipment, Warrin Mining supports a renowned range of machinery servicing industries including earthmoving, mining, civil construction, demolition, recycling and forestry.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join our close‐knit team at our Pooraka head office.
This is a permanent, part-time position for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
About the Role
This role provides high-level finance and administrative support to the broader leadership team.
It is well suited to a proactive finance skilled who enjoys variety, responsibility and contributing to continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Finance & Accounting
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Managing bank feeds, bank reconciliations and GST transactions
Credit card reconciliations
Payroll reconciliation and preparation (18 staff)
Reconciling and paying superannuation, payroll tax and WorkCover
End-of-month financial processing and reporting
Collating and preparing all EOFY information
Reporting & Administration
Preparing financial and operational reports for the CEO and leadership team
Monthly reporting and liaising with external advisors
Managing insurance renewals
Assisting with the preparation of tenders and confidential documentation
Supporting improvements to financial systems and processes
About You
You are highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with senior stakeholders.
You will bring:
A qualification in Finance, Accounting or Commerce and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience in finance, accounts or administration
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MYOB Exo (preferred) or experience using sophisticated accounting software(s)
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
Demonstrated experience managing accounts payable and receivable
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Well-developed problem-solving and analytical abilities
Experience developing and improving systems and processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A high level of discretion and confidentiality
