About the Role
Payne Diesel Services, trading as Ausdraulics, is seeking a skilled and motivatedFitter and Turnerwith strong hydraulic and machining experience to join our team.
This full time position offers a varied mix of workshop machining, hydraulic component overhauls supporting clients across the mining, marine, and civil sectors.
We specialise in component overhauls, machining, mobile equipment maintenance, and fixed plant maintenance; and we're actively growing our in-house manufacturing capability, including CNC production work.
What You'll Be Doing
Machining and turning components on our CNC and conventional lathes
Overhauling hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and components in our fully equipped workshop
Line boring, fitting, and assembly of heavy plant and hydraulic systems
Producing precision components and small manufacturing runs (e.g. pins and bushes)
What We're Looking For
Trade-qualifiedFitter and Turner / Fitter Machinist(or equivalent experience)
Strong machining and turning skills
Solid knowledge of hydraulic, grease, and equipment systems
CNC programming / CAM experience (e.g. Fusion 360) highly regarded
Ability to work independently
Experience with earthmoving equipment (advantageous)
Experience on fixed plant: processing plants, crushing plants (advantageous)
Solid commitment to safety protocols and high-quality workmanship
