Infinity Imaging and Interventions is seeking aMedical Receptionistto join our team in Dapto, NSW.
This is afull-time positionthat plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients and visitors.
As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the professional standards that our organisation is known for.
This role is essential to our day-to-day functioning and directly impacts patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and customer service tasks that keep our medical practice running smoothly.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Greeting patients and visitors in a warm, professional and welcoming manner upon arrival at the clinic
Managing patient check-in processes, including verifying personal details, insurance information and appointment details
Scheduling and confirming patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of clinician time and patient convenience
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with privacy legislation and clinic protocols
Processing patient payments and managing billing enquiries with accuracy and professionalism
Answering and directing telephone calls and enquiries to the appropriate staff members
Coordinating with clinical staff to ensure patient flow and minimise wait times
Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and document management
Providing general information about clinic services,



procedures and practitioners to patients and enquirers
What we're looking for
To succeed in this Medical Receptionist role, you should possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a healthcare reception environment, or equivalent customer service experience in a professional setting
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a busy environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors and staff members of all backgrounds
Proficiency with computer systems and medical practice management software, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software applications
Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record management, with understanding of confidentiality requirements
Knowledge of privacy legislation, particularly the Privacy Act **** (Cth) and health privacy principles applicable in Australia
A calm, empathetic approach to patient interactions, particularly when managing difficult or distressed patients
Flexibility and willingness to support other team members as needed
Current First Aid certification is preferred but not essential
Medical terminology knowledge is advantageous
