Rostrevor Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter/Boilermaker to join our team on a Full time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of mining projects in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
As a Fitter/Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and machinery at our sites located in South Australia, Victoria and Queensland and beyond.
with flexablility to switch from FIFO to Local rosters etc.
What you'll be doing
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a range of mining equipment and machinery
crusher maintenance, Jaw and Cone liner changes.
working with HP300 cone crusher and Kleemann Jaw crushers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment, and implement solutions in a timely manner
Fabricate and weld components as required to maintain and upgrade equipment
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety standards and procedures
Provide support and mentorship to junior team members
Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and practices
techinical skills to build new competents from scratch / drawings if available.
What we're looking for
Qualified Fitter/Boilermaker with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role
Trade Certificate qualification is required for the Fitter/Boilermaker role
Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and equipment used in the mining industry
Strong fabrication and welding skills,



with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Advanced welding tickets are required for this position
Structural Steel (WB), Pressure Vessel (WP), Pipeline (WPL), and Coded Welding (AS/NZS) advanced welding tickets are all required for this position
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
Ability to work effectively in a team and provide mentorship to junior team members
Valid driver's licence and the ability to work on a FIFO basis
This role operates on a 2 weeks on/1 week off FIFO roster arrangement or local roster
Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required
