About the Role
Ross Care is seeking an experiencedTeam Leader – Disability Support Workerto support participants in a Supported Independent Living environment across Adelaide.
This is a hands-on leadership role.
You will work directly alongside the team on shift while also being responsible for documentation, incident reporting, rostering, and ensuring NDIS compliance.
This role requires someone who can multitask, remain calm under pressure, manage competing priorities, and keep services running smoothly while maintaining positive relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct support to participants in line with their support plans and behaviour support plans
Lead by example on shift and support staff with day-to-day challenges
Ensure incident reports, ABC data, progress notes and documentation are completed accurately and on time
Monitor staff practice and ensure supports are delivered safely and in line with NDIS requirements
Complete and manage staff rosters in line with participant funding and SCHADS Award requirements
Respond to incidents, concerns and escalations in a calm and professional manner
Communicate with families, support coordinators and other stakeholders as required
Ensure the home environment remains safe, respectful and well managed
Support new staff with onboarding and guidance on house routines and expectations
Escalate risks, incidents or concerns to management promptly
Maintain current Working with Vulnerable People clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate, and valid Driver's Licence
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years experience in disability support
Experience working in Supported Independent Living environments
Strong understanding of NDIS practice standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct
Experience completing incident reports, ABC reporting and participant documentation
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong leadership skills with the ability to be firm, fair and supportive with staff
Ability to work in high-pressure environments and respond to challenging behaviours
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Valid Driver's Licence
Full work rights are required for this role
Relevant qualification including Certificate III Community Services, Certificate IV Disability, Diploma Community Services, Bachelor Social Work, or Bachelor Psychology
