What you'll be doing
Designing and creating floral arrangements
Preparing flowers by trimming stems, removing leaves and conditioning blooms to ensure longevity and freshness
Selecting appropriate flowers, foliage and accessories that complement customer preferences and seasonal availability
Providing expert advice to customers about flower types, colour combinations, symbolism and care instructions
Processing customer orders accurately, including taking details, discussing requirements and confirming delivery or collection arrangements
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including proper storage of flowers and florist supplies
Managing inventory of flowers, plants, vases, ribbons and other floristry materials
Assisting with window displays and shop merchandising to attract customers and showcase seasonal collections
Building strong customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction with every arrangement created
What we're looking for
Formal floristry qualification or recognised certification in floristry techniques and design
Proven experience working as a florist, ideally in a retail or events-based environment
Robust knowledge of flower varieties, their characteristics, seasonal availability and care requirements
Excellent artistic and creative design skills with an eye for colour, texture and composition
Proficiency in a range of floristry techniques including hand-tying,



arrangement design and floral mechanics
Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with clients
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, beautiful arrangements
Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying items
Flexibility to work casual hours, including potentially weekends and peak seasonal periods
