About you
We are seeking an experienced Casual B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) who demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to safety, and a willingness to consistently deliver work to the highest standard.
You are a team-focused individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete maintenance activities with minimal supervision.
You take pride in your workmanship, follow protected work practices, and contribute positively to a professional maintenance environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
A current and unrestrictedB1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
Experience maintainingCessna 208 Caravan aircraft(preferred)
Experience withPratt & Whitney PT6A and/or Honeywell TPE331 engines(preferred)
Experience in line and base maintenance environments
The ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative engineering team
About the role
Due to continued growth and operational requirements, Performance Aviation is seeking Casual B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team based in Shellharbour, NSW.




This role will support our ongoing maintenance operations, providing high-quality aircraft maintenance services while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and safety standards.
The successful candidate will enjoy the flexibility of casual employment, competitive remuneration, and the opportunity to work with an experienced aviation maintenance team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing line and base maintenance activities
Carrying out inspections, troubleshooting, defect rectification, and maintenance tasks
Certifying completed maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures and regulations
Identifying and reporting defects, discrepancies, hazards, incidents, and safety concerns
Completing accurate maintenance documentation and records
Supporting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Working collaboratively with engineering and support teams
Undertaking travel to other company locations when required
