THE OPPORTUNITY
PYBAR is currently seeking an experienced and driven Health, Safety, Environment and Training (HSET) Coordinator to join our expanding Raise Bore Division.
The position will be based in South Australia, working on an 8:6 roster.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be based in South Australia, but multiple points of his will be considered for this position, for the right person.
Previous experience working in Raiseboring will be highly regarded.
You will support the implementation of Health, Safety, Environment and Training initiatives at a site level.
Working closely with sites leaders and operational teams, you will help drive a proactive safety culture by promoting risk awareness, supporting compliance and contributing to continuous improvement on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the coordination and implementation of Health, Safety, Environment and Training activities at site level
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve site health and safety performance and contribute to continuous improvement planning
Provide day to day support, guidance, and oversight on HSET practices to ensure compliance with PYBAR's systems and legislative requirements




Help deliver PYBAR's HSET capabilities on site, maintaining strong communication with the client and workforce
Work closely with site supervisors and operational leaders to ensure health and safety systems are effectively followed and embedded in daily operations
Promote positive safety behaviours and help build a culture of accountability, ownership and safety first thinking across the site.
Use digital tools (e.g. INX) to record and monitor safety data, identify trends, and support proactive safety decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a HSET coordinator or similar position (Essential)
Relevant tertiary qualifications in safety, health, or environmental management
Minimum of 4 years' experience in Underground Hardrock mining (Essential)
Experience in drilling (Advantageous)
Comprehensive understanding of WHS/OH&S; regulations and legislation across Australian jurisdictions.
Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
Proven experience completing incident investigations, preferably using ICAM methodology.
Experience using INX or similar safety management systems
