About the role
I am seeking a qualifiedAccountantto join Balanced Accounting Services on acasual basis.
Based inBurleigh Heads, QLD.
Ideally this role would suit a return to work or a casual school hours position.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements and accounting records for clients
Performing general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
Assisting with tax preparation, compliance documentation and lodgement.
Supporting clients with bookkeeping, payroll processing and management accounting tasks
Providing preliminary financial analysis and reporting to clients and senior accounting staff
Ensuring all accounting work meets professional standards and regulatory requirements
Liaising with clients to gather financial information and clarify accounting matters
Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent skilled experience
Demonstrated experience working in an accounting or bookkeeping environment
Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software
Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and tax compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Professional demeanour and commitment to confidentiality and data security
Experience in business services, corporate advisory or client-facing accounting roles is preferred
