About The Chance We are seeking a proactive and detail‐driven Supplier Assurance Officer to support the delivery of high‐quality, compliant supply chain outcomes across Austal Defence Australia (ADA).
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the performance, quality, and compliance of suppliers supporting major defence programs.
You will contribute to supplier assurance activities, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supply chain reliability.

What's Involved
Monitor and analyse supplier performance against agreed KPIsIdentify risks, trends, and non‐conformances and support corrective actionsSupport internal and external audits and ensure audit readinessAssist with investigation and closure of quality and compliance issuesMaintain and update supply chain documentation in line with QMS requirementsSupport process governance, documentation control,
and compliance activitiesDeliver and support supply chain process training for stakeholdersLiaise with cross‐functional teams including procurement, quality, and engineeringContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations
You'll Need
Essential
Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Quality Management or equivalent experience2+ years' experience in supply chain, procurement, or quality assuranceExperience using ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle or similar)Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‐solving skillsExperience with root cause analysis and corrective actionsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable
Experience conducting supplier or internal auditsKnowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO **** or similar)Experience in defence, maritime, or manufacturing environmentsExposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)Advanced Excel or Power BI skills
