About The Role
As our Campus Chef, you will:
Plan Nutritious Menus: Develop age-appropriate menus incorporating variety, balance, cultural inclusivity, and dietary guidelines, whilst catering for different age groupsPrepare & Serve Meals: Cook breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon teaManage Allergies & Dietary Requirements: Follow individual allergy and anaphylaxis management plansMaintain Food Safety & Compliance: Comply with local council health regulationsManage Kitchen Operations: Managing budget, ordering supplies, and maintaining stockSupport Learning & Relationships:
Engage with children about healthy eatingCommunicate with Families & Staff: Share menus with families, discuss dietary needs, and collaborate with Educators on celebrations and cultural events
You'll Bring
Previous experience managing a kitchen autonomouslyExperience in a childcare, aged care or on-site kitchen (desirable)Current Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)Sound understanding of food safety, dietary or religious requirements & allergy awarenessEffective communications skills2 Professional References - hospitality or childcare relatedFood Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)I'm Alert Food Safety Training (or willing to obtain)
