Troocoo is partnering with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit an experienced AO6 Project Manager for its North Queensland operations.
Based in Townsville, this position will coordinate the delivery of building and construction projects across the full project lifecycle.
You will manage projects from pre-design and design through to documentation, contract administration and post-construction activities.
This is a hands-on project delivery role requiring strong commercial awareness, contract administration experience and the ability to coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate building projects across pre-design, design, documentation, construction and post-construction stages.
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, cash flow, quality and commercial outcomes.
Coordinate project staff, external consultants, building contractors and internal business units.
Provide contract coordination across traditional and non-traditional contracting models.
Maintain regular communication with clients and provide clear updates on project progress, risks and issues.
Lead negotiations with contractors, consultants, local authorities and government stakeholders.
Monitor project performance and prepare exception reports relating to time, cost and delivery risks.
Ensure relevant quality assurance and project governance procedures are followed.
Support and mentor Project Managers and other project delivery staff.
Assist senior project leaders with project fees, client billing and financial management.
About You To be successful, you will have:
Demonstrated experience managing major building, construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of project management and contract administration.
Experience managing project scope, cost, time, quality and commercial performance.
The ability to coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants and contractors.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and client relationship skills.
Sound judgement and the ability to analyse complex project information.
Explicit and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Previous government, QBuild, property, facilities or public-sector project experience will be highly regarded.
A current Queensland C Class driver's licence.
