The Opportunity Mipac is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial reporting, system administration and core accounting activities across the business.
Working closely with the CFO and finance team, you will be involved in the preparation and analysis of financial information, supporting month-end processes, reporting and compliance activities.
This role also provides an opportunity to contribute to the improvement of reporting and systems, including the development of reports and dashboards that support better visibility for the business.
You will work as part of a collaborative finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting activities while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across systems and reporting.
This role suits a professional who is detail-oriented, enjoys working across a variety of activities, and has an interest in improving processes and how information is presented.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the subject matter expert for the Greentree financial system, supporting system administration and ongoing improvementsMaintain the chart of accounts, cost centres and reporting structures to support accurate reportingSupport financial system activities including user access, entity set-up and period rolloversSupport the preparation of financial and management reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basisWork with Project Managers and the finance team to support project reporting and cost trackingPerform month-end processes including accruals, reconciliations, WIP and cost adjustmentsSupport intercompany accounting, including consolidations, eliminations and reconciliationsAssist with audit processes and statutory compliance (BAS, Payroll Tax,



FBT)Contribute to the development and improvement of reports and dashboardsProvide support across the finance team and assist with ad hoc activities as required
About You
You are an experienced Project Accountant who:
Has experience across financial and/or management accountingIs comfortable working with data and enjoys understanding how information fits togetherHas strong attention to detail and a structured approach to workIs proficient in accounting systems (Greentree experience highly regarded) and ExcelCommunicates effectively and works well with stakeholders across the businessTakes a proactive and cooperative approach to your workHas an interest in improving systems and reporting processesBachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics or similarCA/CPA qualified or working towardsExperience working across multiple entities and foreign currencies (desirable)
