About the role
Kingtide Productions is seeking a talented and creativeVideographerto join our dynamic team in Port Douglas, Queensland.
This is afull-time positionbased in Port Douglas or Cairns, where you will play a vital role in capturing, producing and editing high-quality video content in the recreation fishing industry.
As a Videographer, you will be instrumental in delivering compelling visual narratives that engage audiences and support the strategic goals of our production company.
What you'll be doing
Operate and maintain professional video cameras and related filming equipment to capture footage across various projects and locations
Plan and execute filming schedules, including travel to remote locations mainly off shore on boats.
Collaborate with directors, producers and creative teams to understand project briefs and translate creative concepts into visual content
Edit and post-process video footage using industry-standard software, including colour grading, sound design and visual effects
Manage and organise video files, ensuring proper archiving and backup of all project materials
Troubleshoot technical issues on set and adapt quickly to changing production requirements
Contribute creative ideas and suggestions to enhance the quality and impact of video projects
Stay current with emerging video production technologies and techniques to maintain competitive advantage
Have a to g understanding of YouTube content and current trends pertaining to strong engagement
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Videographer or in a similar video production role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your technical and creative capabilities
Very strong proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
Advanced knowledge of professional video cameras and equipment, including lighting and audio recording devices
Strong understanding of cinematography principles, including composition, lighting, colour theory and visual storytelling




Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high production quality standards across all projects
Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team whilst managing independent tasks efficiently
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction and feedback constructively
A passion for visual storytelling and the ability to work long hours to achieve the desired outcomes
Desirable: Experience with motion graphics, 3D animation or visual effects production
An understanding of recreational fishing and experience on the water very desirable
