This role directly supports Strategy House by strengthening the Process pillar through the application of Continuous Improvement practices.
This role is suited to someone who is passionate about Continuous Improvement, enjoys spending time at the Gemba, and values the knowledge and experience within teams.
You'll be well suited to this role if you enjoy taking a hands‐on approach, working closely with others to create better outcomes for members, and bringing a team-oriented, people‐centred approach to improvement
It requires patience, flexibility, and the ability to bring people along on the Continuous Improvement journey, building understanding, engagement, and shared ownership along the way.

Coach, mentor, and uplift capability of CI champions, leaders, and teams within the business.
Embed CI practices into daily operations to ensure long‐term sustainability.
Partnering and DeliveryPartner with the Insurance and Claims business unit to identify, prioritise, and deliver process improvement initiatives aligned to business objectives and member outcomes.
Build trusted relationships across all levels, from frontline teams to senior leaders and executives
Drive the achievement of capacity release targets through sustained, hands‐on improvement initiatives.
Process ImprovementSimplify, standardise, and optimise end‐to‐end processes to improve efficiency, reduce complexity, and prepare for automation and digital solutions.
Identify and eliminate waste through hands‐on engagement with teams to improve efficiency and quality of process outcomes.
Continuous Improvement MethodologiesApply suitable CI methods, such as Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to improve end-to-end processes and the operating model.
Performance Improvement and Data-Driven InsightsAnalyse process data to establish baselines, identify improvement opportunities, and measure outcomes.
Improve key performance metrics such as cycle times, lead times, and Percent Complete and Accurate (PCA).
Measure, track, and report performance improvements, including explicit before‐and‐after comparisons, benefits realisation, and capacity releases.
Facilitation and Problem SolvingFacilitate problem-solving workshops and solution design to uncover operational issues and co‐create actionable improvement plans.
Ensure clarity of ownership, accountability, and follow‐through of agreed actions.
Benefits Realisation and Capacity ReinvestmentSupport the business unit to realise and sustain advantages from improvement initiatives.
Quantify and communicate benefits, including capacity releases and customer outcomes.
Support reinvestment of released capacity into higher‐value, member‐focused activities.
Essential Criteria:Continuous Improvement expertise with an ability to coach, mentor, and develop CI capability in others.
Experience applying Lean, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies within operational environments.
Effective facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops and driving outcomes.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organisational levels, including experience working collaboratively with frontline teams (at the Gemba) through to senior leaders and executives.
Experience in value stream mapping, waste elimination, and structured problem solving.
Ability to simplify and standardise processes in preparation for automation and digital transformation.
Ability to use data to establish performance baselines, identify improvement opportunities, and validate benefits.
Experience working with operational metrics such as cycle time, lead time, and quality measures (e.g. PCA).
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent) qualified and tertiary qualification in engineering, business, or related discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Desirable Experience:Experience within an Insurance and Claims environment, with an understanding of core operational processes and member outcomes.
