Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils during Science lessons across KS3 and KS4Delivering small-group intervention sessions to raise attainmentWorking 1:1 with students requiring additional academic supportPreparing practical resources alongside teaching staff where requiredEncouraging pupil confidence, curiosity and engagement within STEM subjectsMonitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers
The successful Science Academic Mentor will:
Hold A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) and a BA degree in a Science-related subjectBe academically strong with excellent communication skillsBe enthusiastic about working with young peopleHave aspirations of becoming a Science TeacherDemonstrate initiative, professionalism and resilience
