Position Overview
The Marketing and Brand Specialist is responsible for working closely with the Media and Marketing manager and the broader Marketing and Commercial teams to deliver all marketing asset and brand requirements across key areas of the Club.
This role is required to work both independently and collaboratively with others in the business, with the aim to uphold professionalism and brand consistency in all visual elements.
Planning and executing the delivery of all elements of creative production, including brand design, visual identity, and upholding style guidelines to build brand awareness, consumer engagement and ultimately support revenue growth for the organisation, will be the primary focus for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand
Support the delivery of Club marketing and digital content working closely with the Media and Marketing Manager.
Assist in pitching content, marketing initiatives, story concepts and images for digital and social media channels.
Assist in the delivery of all email marketing campaigns via the online mail platform including design, build and sends.
Manager the Club photo library via the relevant asset management platform.
Work alongside the Digital Content Producer to ensure a consistent brand execution across multimedia content.
Graphic Design
Interpret, create, and manage design briefs from initial conception through to delivery aligning to Lightning's brand guidelines.
Design majority of club content across marketing & commercial departments including EDMs, digital assets, advertising, game day content, team kit, sponsor proposals and signage.
Maintain the creative direction of all visual digital, web and print design.
Develop concepts and produce finished artwork for key internal and external stakeholders.
Engage with key stakeholders to understand and interpret briefs, delivering content that is high quality and aligned to Lightning's brand guidelines.
Act as the brand champion to coordinate a consistent look and feel across all club material.
Work with the Media and Marketing Manager to create innovative campaigns and digital concepts for promotions, social media campaigns, EDM, web assets, marketing collateral and other brand content / assets.
Work with the Game Day and Events Manager to develop and assist with Game Day Sports Presentation.
Lead all desktop publishing and print management.
Other
Support the delivery of Sunshine Coast Lightning events including event set up and pack down.
General administration duties as required.

Qualifications, Experience and Licences Required
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in graphic design essential, digital and /or marketing highly desired.
2 to 3 years experience and advance knowledge in producing content through Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:Photoshop
InDesign
Illustrator
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint skills
Strong understanding of graphic design and layout principles
Demonstrated ability to deliver creative solutions to market
Ability to interpret creative concepts from business partners and deliver quality outputs
Ability to deliver strong commercial outcomes through tactical design initiatives
Hours of Work
Due to the nature of the position and the sport industry, some evening and weekend work will be required, particularly in-season.
Accreditation
All club personnel need to meet Sunshine Coast Lightning and/or Netball Australia accreditation/ registration requirements, which may include National Police Record clearance and current Blue Card/Working with Children Check, before they are appointed to their role.
