Are you an experienced Project Controller who thrives on planning, scheduling and delivering complex projects?
Shadbolt Group is looking for a motivated Project Controller to join our team supporting a major Defence project.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in project delivery by providing expert planning, scheduling, reporting and project controls across a high-profile Defence environment.

About The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring performance, supporting cost control and forecasting, and delivering accurate project reporting to ensure successful project outcomes.
Working closely with engineering, commercial, procurement and construction teams, you'll provide the information and insights needed to support effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.Monitor project progress, critical path activities and schedule performance.Produce weekly and monthly project reports, dashboards and forecasts.Support project controls, cost reporting and earned value management.Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery strategies.Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement and construction teams.Support change management, variations and extension of time (EOT)



assessments.Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance against project schedules.Maintain project control systems, reporting templates and governance documentation.Contribute to secure project planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented Project Controller with strong planning and analytical skills who enjoys working in a collaborative project environment.
To Be Successful, You'll Have
Advanced Primavera P6 scheduling experience (essential).
Minimum 5 years' experience in project controls, planning or scheduling.Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.Experience with project controls, forecasting, cost reporting and progress measurement.Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.Experience within Defence, engineering, construction or major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.Primavera P6 certification or formal training is highly desirable.
