The Role
The purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth, accurate, and secure movement of all materials through the warehouse, supporting operational efficiency and maintaining high standards of inventory control.
This includes receiving incoming goods, verifying them against documentation, inspecting for damage or discrepancies, and ensuring they are recorded correctly in the ERP system.
It also involves organising, storing, and maintaining stock, applying FIFO principles, and preparing outgoing goods so they are dispatched accurately and on time.
The role contributes to the wider Operations and Engineering team by maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and freight partners, and by upholding the organisation's values, safety standards, and commitment to customer-focused service.
What You'll Do
The Store Person is responsible for:
· Unloading and moving goods safely and carefully, including bulky items using a forklift.
· Timely and accurate receipt of goods inwards ensuring all goods are checked against correct documentation for accuracy, defects, damage, or incorrect parts.
· Correct administration of all goods in line with processes, procedures, and policies.
· Picking parts from shelves and racking, correctly recording movements of parts including accurate and timely data entry and paperwork is completed.
· Processing orders for on-time dispatch to customers or delivery to production line.
· Assisting with stock counts, including pre-count preparation, stock count and identifying improvements from stock take processes.
The Team
Reporting to the Operations Manager,



the Store Person works closely with the Warehouse Coordinator and other Store Persons; the broader Operations & Engineering Team; Freight and Logistics companies; and Suppliers.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate should demonstrate the following Essential and Desirable characteristics:
Essential
· Current Driver's License.
· Current Forklift License.
· Demonstrated experience in a similar role within engineering, manufacturing, freight or logistics industries.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team.
· Effective time management, record keeping and high attention to detail.
· Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to prioritise, manage tasks, meet timelines and achieve goals.
· An uncompromising approach towards safety.
Desirable
· Understanding Bills of material (BOM) structures and manufacturing process routings.
· Proficiency using MYOB.
· Competency in reading technical documents including drawing specifications and standards.
