This is an exciting opportunity to manage the Office of the Lord Mayor and play an important role in supporting the civic leadership of Western Australia's capital city.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Lord Mayor and provide high-level coordination, stakeholder engagement and civic support to enable the Lord Mayor to effectively undertake the responsibilities of the role.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Elected Members, the Executive Leadership Team and business units across the organisation, you will coordinate the Lord Mayor's priorities, briefings, stakeholder engagements and civic activities.
You will also lead a team that delivers responsive, professional and high-quality support, ensuring the Office operates efficiently in a fast-paced and politically sensitive environment.

What you'll do
Manage the operations of the Office of the Lord Mayor, ensuring the effective delivery of executive coordination, civic support and stakeholder engagement services.
Coordinate the Lord Mayor's diary, priorities, briefings, engagements and follow-up actions to ensure timely, well-informed and responsive support.
Lead the Council and Civic Support team while working collaboratively with business units, Elected Members and external stakeholders to coordinate information, communications and civic activities.
Oversee issue tracking, office processes and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, coordination and responsiveness.
Exercise sound judgement in managing confidential and politically sensitive matters, anticipating emerging issues and ensuring appropriate coordination across the organisation.
What you'll bring
Significant experience providing executive coordination, civic support, government relations, communications or advisory support within a complex and politically sensitive environment.
Proven experience leading or managing a team while coordinating competing priorities and delivering high-quality executive or civic support services.
Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate issues and coordinate timely outcomes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience preparing high-quality briefings, speeches, correspondence and executive documentation.
Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships, exercise sound judgement and contribute to continuous improvement across executive and stakeholder support functions.
