The Role
Join our MGC Civil as our Civil Draftsperson, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping land development projects.
Collaborate closely with our Senior Surveyor to transform As-constructed data into quality assurance gold, prepare precise setting out files, and craft cutting-edge machine control models.
Your expertise will drive the success of our innovative projects!
The Responsibilities
Prepare as-constructed reports and plot diagrams from survey data.
Ensure tolerances of survey data are met.
Prepare construction setting out information.
Create machine control models for:
Retaining walls
Sewer
Stormwater drainage
Subsoil drainage
Road construction
Earthworks and finished surfaces




Process survey data and produce volume report for quantities and surface comparisons.
Maintain drawing standards and document control – both in digital and pdf.
Revise digital information based on design changes.
Ensure all deliverables comply with company and client standards.
Liaise with surveyors, site engineers, site supervisors, project managers, and construction personnel.
Maintain organised project files and drawing registers.
About You
Experience with civil drafting software such as:
Topcon Office / MAGNET Office or similar survey software (desirable)
AutoCAD
Ability to interpret survey data and design drawings.
Experience in producing machine control models for construction.
Good understanding of civil infrastructure and land development projects.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Certificate IV or Diploma in Civil Engineering Design, Drafting, or a related discipline - Desirable
Previous experience in land development or civil construction.
Understanding of surveying principles and projections & coordinate systems.
Experience working with machine guidance systems such as Topcon and Trimble.
